Women in refrigeration

March 8, 2020 was International Women’s Day.

Beijer Ref has embraced and promoted this initiative. As a result, Beijer Ref has launched a promotional film about women who work for our organization and our business worldwide.

This film was promoted through Social Media through various channels. Beijer Ref did this in response to its CSR strategy 2020 and in the context of diversity and equal opportunities for women and men. Beijer Ref wants to encourage more women to work in our organization (Beijer Ref) and the cold industry.

The video was published March 4. Beijer Ref Support BV has also supported this initiative. This is a way of communicating our core values; this year “Together” and “Committed”. Hopefully this will help us attract more women to our field.

International Women’s Day stood and stands for the feeling of solidarity and militancy of women all over the world. In 1911 International Women’s Day was celebrated for the first time – in 1912 for the first time in the Netherlands. March 8 was not chosen as a fixed date until 1922.

The theme of International Women’s Day 2020 is Freedom. For years women have been fighting for self-determination, individual rights, freedom and equality. Women’s freedom should not be negotiable, it should be self-evident.

As an international employer, Beijer Ref is proud of its female employees and communicates this through its video. You can watch the video via this link. On our LinkedIn page.
